Questions bakers ask.
Do I have to install anything or change my shop?
No. Your listing links to the order page you already use: Bakesy, Hotplate, Square or your own site. We count views and taps on our side and tag every visitor we send you, so you can see us in your shop's own stats.
Why am I already listed?
We list home bakeries from public shop pages and public records so locals can find them. You can claim, correct or remove your listing at any time.
What does claiming cost?
Your basic listing is free. Founding bakers (the first 25 in each city) get their first month free on Claimed or Insights, then it renews monthly and you can cancel anytime. Claiming is $5 a month: a verified badge, your menu and prices, your stats, customer messages and a coaching email every two weeks. Insights is $10 a month and adds the rank booster, a Sponsored spot at the top of your city and bake pages, plus competitor insights.
Do you take a cut of my orders?
Never. Customers order and pay through your own shop. We don't touch payments.
How do customers contact me?
With the Message button on your page. Messages come into your Small Baker inbox, and your average reply time shows on your listing, so quick replies win orders.
What's the giveaway?
Each month the claimed bakery with the most customer order taps in an area (organic, not paid placement) can host a giveaway for Small Baker members. You supply the prize, and we put it in front of every member nearby. It's free exposure and an event to post on your socials.
Can you build me a real website?
Yes. It's a $250 one-time setup on our bakery template, then $15 a month to keep it live. It includes your logo and colors, up to 15 menu items with a Buy button each, your story, photos, pickup details and FAQs, plus the rank booster for a top spot in your city. You keep your own checkout (Stripe, Square or Bakesy); we never handle your payments.
